The Fellowship in Neurophysiological Monitoring at NPS is a paid year long didactic and clinical training program for candidates with a drive to learn the science of surgical neurophysiology.
The program includes live didactic learning modules created to evolve over the duration of the course in order to blend real-life application with academic understanding. Fellows also learn via a state of the art on-line learning platform where they have preassigned text book readings, watch webinar recordings and actively participate in discussion forums with other fellows and instructors. All fellows are tested after each module to show competency. Fellows gain real-life experience by learning from highly skilled board certified surgical neurophysiologists in the operating room during an array of surgical procedures for their clinical training. Around the 8th month of the program fellows are prepared for the Board Certification in Neurophysiological Monitoring (CNIM).
NPS currently has 100% 1st time CNIM pass rate from all the fellows that have gone through the program.
